The second annual K.I.A. Memorial Road March will be held Saturday in Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park.
The 10K ruck march isn’t a competition, but all entrants will be timed. Competitors carry ruck sacks filled with canned goods, which are donated after the event.
Check-in starts at 9 a.m. and the march begins at 11.
Vets For Vets are sponsoring the event, which is being hosted by the Erie County Veterans Service Agency and the Department of Parks, Recreation & Forestry.
It’s open to people 18 and older, as well as teams. The cost is $55 per person for those in the military and $60 for civilians.

• Free breast cancer screening will be conducted Wednesday in Gowanda Urgent Care & Medical Center, 34 Commercial St. Sponsored by TLC Health Network and the Erie County Cancer Services Program, it will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Registration is under way for the program, which is open to women age 40 or older who don’t have health insurance and haven’t had a mammogram in the past year. Call 858-7376 to determine eligibility.
• Free yoga and cardio kickboxing classes are held weekly in parks at opposite ends of the county.
Yoga classes are held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, through Aug. 26, outside the casino at Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park. Cardio kickboxing is offered from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, until the end of August, at Shelter 14 in Ellicott Creek Park in the Town of Tonawanda.
