Shots were fired after two men attempted to steal a bike on Broadway Street at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

An employee of the Mini Max convenience store at 1225 Broadway reported to police that while a 14-year-old male was inside the store, his bicycle was taken. When the employee attempted to stop the unknown suspect, a second male – believed to be the brother of the first suspect – fired multiple shots at the employee.

The shots struck the employee’s blue Jeep and caused damage to its interior. The 14-year-old recovered his bike.

The store has video of the first suspect. The shooter is described as 5-foot-6, dark-skinned, 160 pounds and in his mid-20s.
