A 29-year-old Brunswick Boulevard man was arrested on marijuana and other charges when stopped in a suspected stolen rental car early Friday on Fillmore Avenue near Broadway.
Adriane Roman was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal possession of marijuana, false personal and making an improper turn onto Fillmore Avenue about 4 a.m.
Police officers accused Roman of initially giving them a fake name because he was already the subject of an Amherst court warrant. Officers reported finding a large amount of marijuana in the back seat of the rental car along with a drug scale and a number of empty vials. Roman also was accused of not being listed on the rental agreement for the vehicle he was driving, according to a police report.
