The Springville-Griffith Institute Central School Board has chosen Allison Duwe as its new president and Jennifer Sullivan as vice president.
Board members selected new officers during an organizational meetings Tuesday night in the high school library.
The previous president and vice president, Delia Bonenberger and Joan Kelly, lost their seats in the election May 20.
Chris Cerrone, Michael Connors and Sullivan started their three-year terms. They received the most votes among seven candidates for seats on the board.
As the only speaker during the meeting’s public comment portion, Kelly reminded board members of their duties. She encouraged them to ask questions, voice opinions and find out as much as they can about the district.
“If you don’t have good debate, you’ll have backstabbing and animosity,” she said.
