Explore Buffalo is offering two weekly walking tours throughout June, one focusing on buildings designed by the Queen City’s architects and another featuring works by national players.

The “Buffalo Classics” downtown tour showcases many of the best local architects, who designed some of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

Buildings on the tour include the Market Arcade, Buffalo Savings Bank (Goldome), Electric Tower, Hotel Lafayette and City Hall.

Tours take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. each Friday in June (June 6, 13, 20 and 27), meeting and ending at Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill (189 Delaware Ave.).

Meanwhile, Buffalo buildings designed by some of the country’s greatest architects will be on display during the “Masters of American Architecture” tours, offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m. each Saturday (June 7, 14, 21 and 28).

St. Joseph’s Cathedral, old County Hall, Guaranty Building, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Ellicott Square Building and the old post office will all be featured on the tour, and participants will also “learn about the prominence of Buffalo on a national scale at the turn of the twentieth century,” a recent press release promises. These tours will meet at The Archer Restaurant (268 Main St.).

Tickets for both options are $10 or $5 with valid student ID, and reservations are encouraged. Visit www.explorebuffalo.org to make online reservations or get up-to-date information on event dates and times.
