In honor of the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s birth, a group of local actors and community leaders will take part in a day-long reading of the Bard’s works on Wednesday in the Market Arcade Building at 617 Main St.
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, who recently pardoned a butter lamb at the Broadway Market, is scheduled to show up at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday. No word yet on what he’ll be reading.
Other contributors to the 12-hour reading, running from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, include actors and “Shakespeare in Delaware Park” regulars Patrick Moltane, Anne Gayley, Loraine O’Donnell, Peter Palmisano, Lisa Ludwig and Gerry Maher. Anyone interested in reading can just show up during the day or email SDP Managing Director Lisa Ludwig at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The event is sponsored by SDP, which will present free productions of “Henry V” and “The Comedy of Errors” this summer.
