It’s official, Buffalo is officially turning into New Orleans. We’ve got the temperature, we’ve got the deep-fried food, and, come Tuesday, we’ll have the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

The Dirty Dozen are playing the Tralf. Any time they come to Buffalo is cause for celebration – well, you can’t help but celebrate when you hear that traditional New Orleans funk. The sound always stays in style. At the Chicago Blues Festival, one of the most popular bands was the Southern Komfort Brass Band from Jackson, Miss., playing this kind of music. No wonder the Dirty Dozen stay busy. They will arrive here fresh from the Bayoo Bugaloo down in Virginia, and from Buffalo they will honk their way up to the Toronto Jazz Festival.

The band performs at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Tralf (622 Main St.). Tickets are $21 in advance, $24 the day of the show. Call 852-2860 or visit www.tralfmusichall.com.
