The Depew Village Board will submit a proposal totaling more than $300,000 to the Erie County Community Development Block Grant consortium for federal funding to replace different sections of sidewalk in the village.
Mayor Steven Hoffman submitted an application for replacement of sidewalks on Suffield, Marengo and Kokomo at $173,143; and on Bloomfield, Easton and Kokomo, for $154,578.
The application is for the 2014-15 year. Village Administrator Elizabeth Melock clarified that it is only an application, which needed to be submitted by Monday. The board would not receive approval or money to fund the project, if it is approved, until next year.
