NIAGARA FALLS – A man who allegedly used a rented computer to disseminate child pornography was arraigned Tuesday in City Court on felony counts of promoting and possession of sexual performance by a child.

Frederick P. Eggleston, 38, of Hyde Park Boulevard, was charged at his home Monday and appeared Tuesday in City Court, where he pleaded not guilty.

He was remanded to Niagara County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Detective Thomas Ewing said Eggleston was allegedly sharing child pornograpy files on the Internet over the past year that involved pre-pubescent children.

Ewing said Eggleston had been using a rented computer, which now has been returned, and federal authorities from Homeland Security were able to recover materials, despite the memory being wiped clean.
