On Sunday, you can spend the whole day rocking out at the outer harbor – for a good cause – at the first “Concert for a Cure.” This all-day fundraising concert, organized by 23-year-old Corey McGowan, will benefit the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and is in memory of Corey’s father, John P. McGowan, who was cared for at Roswell Park before he passed away in 2011. Canadian classic rock band the Guess Who headlines the event, which also features eight local bands, including Hit N Run, Route 66, Whiskey Reverb and Leon and the Forklifts. More than 20 restaurants and food trucks will also be supporting the cause, so keep an eye out for specialties from Acropolis, Bonefish Grill, Fat Bob’s Smokehouse and more.

The Concert for a Cure runs from 2 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Canalside (44 Prime St.). Tickets are $35 general, $10 for children and $75 for VIP access with reserved seating, personal bar service and free food samples. All proceeds will be donated to Roswell Park.
