Grants totaling more than $400,000 have been awarded to 20 local non-profit organizations by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, president and chief executive officer Clotilde Perez-Bode Dedecker announces.

Recipients include the BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund, the Buffalo Religious Arts Center, Child and Family Services of Erie County, D’Youville College, the Field and Fork Network, Gerard Place, Grassroots Gardens of Buffalo, Graycliff Conservancy, Hawk Creek Wildlife Center and the Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection.

Also Just Buffalo Literary Center, Locust Street Neighborhood Art Classes, Native American Community Services of Erie and Niagara Counties, the Partnership for the Public Good, People United for Sustainable Housing, Perry Rotary Foundation/Read Around Perry, Roycroft Campus Corp., Teach For America, the University at Buffalo Foundation and the WNY Book Arts Center.

The grants, which range up to $40,000 each, are made possible by donors who have established funds with the Community Foundation to address community needs.
