In a screened interview, best-selling author Donald Miller (Blue Like Jazz, Father Fiction) will explore the topic of growing up without a father. The Lifetree Café at 1570 Niagara Falls Boulevard in Tonawanda will host the screening at 7 p.m. June 9.
An interview will be screened in which Miller explains what his life was like as a child without a father. The author will also explain his attempts to reconnect with his father as an adult.
“This program, titled ‘FatherLess,’ is for those who’ve been abandoned, ignored or abused by their fathers,” Lifetree representative Craig Cable said in a press release. “It’s also for dads who have, for some reason, lived away from their children. And it will help anyone who cares about either a father or child who’s had to cope with this difficult situation.”
Admission is free and snacks and beverages will be available.
