The Service Collaborative of WNY is closing Framing Hope Warehouse, which for nearly four years has provided affordable building supplies and housewares to nonprofit organizations serving distressed areas in Western New York.
It is closing because of economic considerations.
The group had received materials from local retailers, including the Home Depot and Bed Bath & Beyond.
“A decision like this never is easy, and as an agency we would love to see Framing Hope continue to serve our partners, but the continued difficulty in funding this operation was impossible to ignore,” Kate Sarata, the executive director, said in a statement.
Stock will be liquidated through clearance sales.
