family literacy day: The Buffalo and Erie County Public Library will hold a Family Literacy Day with story times, crafts, science experiments and more, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the West Room, Main Floor, at the Central Branch, 1 Lafayette Square.

SPAGHETTI DINNER PLUS TRAINS: The Elma United Methodist Church will host a spaghetti dinner and train and hobby display from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday at 2991 Bowen Road, Elma. The cost is $9 for adults; $5 for children 4 to 8 and free for children 3 and under. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Proceeds benefit Mini Youth Work Camp.

SUMMIT FOR WOMEN VETERANS: A Western New York Resources Summit for women who currently serve or have served in the military, Guard or Reserves will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Medaille College, 18 Agassiz Circle. Representatives will be available to provide information about Veterans Administration health care benefits, education, jobs, health coverage, child services, legal services, business development and financial services. Those attending should bring a copy of Form DD214 and their 2013 financial information.

easter AT BOULEVARD MALL: The Boulevard Mall will welcome the Easter Bunny at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the entrance by Bonefish Grill, the corner of Niagara Falls Boulevard and Maple Road in Amherst. Musical stage shows begin at noon and 1 p.m. in the food court, followed by a meet and greet with “Martha” from the popular book series and television show “Martha Speaks.” There will also be spray tattoos and free carousel rides for the first 100 to greet the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos beginning at noon at his Grand Egg display in the food court.
