Residents are invited to “Mapping Clarence’s Future,” a public planning session this week to help decide how the town will be developed.
The session begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall, One Town Place off Goodrich Road. It’s part of a process to update the town’s master plan and see if there are any areas that would be eligible for a change in zoning and land use.
An interactive mapping station will be used Wednesday to test planning proposals.
Also this week:
• Clarence Center Road, between Salt and Davidson roads, will be closed from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday because a private contractor will be using the road. Drivers are advised to use Howe Road as an alternative.
• The Clarence Chamber of Commerce will hold an after-hours business blender at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dash’s Market, 8845 Main St. The host is Tony Pacella of Dash’s, which was the Chamber’s 2014 “Business of the Year.” Guest speaker is Erie County Legislator Edward Rath III, R-Amherst. RSVP at 631-3888.
• Clarence Hollow Farmers Market, 10717 Main St., doesn’t completely open until June 7, but it will host a series of weekly May Flower Days sales from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, beginning next weekend.
