The Clarence Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual awards dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday in Samuel’s Grande Manor, 8750 Main St.
Honorees for 2014 are: James Marshall, citizen of the year; Dash’s Market, business of the year; Clarence Hollow Farmers Market, organization of the year; and James Bennett, lifetime achiever.
Linda Pellegrino, host of AM Buffalo on WKBW-TV, is the mistress of ceremonies.
Tickets are $60 per person, $100 per couple and $500 for a table of 10.

• The fourth annual “You’ve Gotta Have Art Festival” will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in Clarence Presbyterian Church, 9675 Main St. It includes a juried show featuring 40 different artists and craft artists from Western New York, as well as live music, food and beverages. New this year is a free children’s art experience.
• The third annual “Open Your Heart” fundraiser will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday in the Clarence Town Park Clubhouse, 10405 Main St. Hosted by Clarence Citizens for Veterans, the event benefits the WNY Veterans Housing Coalition and WNY Iraq/Afghanistan Memorial. There will be auctions and live music by 2 For the Road. Admission, which includes a door prize raffle, is $10 and open to people age 21 and older.
