The 2014 Winterfest is scheduled for next Sunday, Jan. 26, from noon to 5 p.m. at Clarence Town Park at 10405 Main Street.

The festival will feature ice skating, sledding, hayrides, a bonfire, Irish dancing from 2 to 3 p.m., a petting zoo from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and a chili-chowder cooking off in the Large Pavilion.

The first is an after hours business blender at 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Brennan’s Bowery Bar & Restaurant, 4401 Transit Road, Clarence. • The Town Board will convene Wednesday for a work session at 6 p.m. and a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m.

• Clarence Town Supervisor David Hartzell Jr. will give his 2014 State of the Town address at noon Wednesday in Orazio’s Restaurant, 9415 Main St. Town Department heads will also discuss the upcoming year. To attend, call the Chamber at 631-3888.

• The D’Youville Center for Professional Studies is offering a series of information sessions for nurses who work in long-term care settings beginning Feb. 5 at the Brothers of Mercy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 10570 Bergtold Road, Clarence.
