City of Tonawanda

A representative of the company proposing to install red light cameras at three intersections in the city is expected to attend the Common Council’s meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall, 200 Niagara St.

The city signed an agreement in December with Redflex but at least one of the council’s new members has concerns about plans for the cameras, which the police chief has said are necessary to improve safety at the dangerous intersections.

There will be an informal session at 6 p.m. and then another following the formal meeting at about 7:30 p.m.
