A daylong outreach session about the Home Energy Assistance Program [HEAP] will be hosted later this month by Erie County Legislator Ted Morton, R-Cheektowaga.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at South Line Fire Department, 1049 French Road, and interviews will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The session is open to all county residents, regardless of where they live.

The federally-funded program is available to assist eligible county residents with the costs of home heating, electricity and energy conservation. The outreach program is administered by the county’s Departments of Social Services and Senior Services.
