The Polish ambassador to the U.S. and two U.S. senators are scheduled to address the 70th anniversary convention and gala of the Polish American Congress Friday in the Millennium Buffalo Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga.
Ambassador Ryszard Schnepf will welcome delegates Friday morning and Poland’s Undersecretary of State Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalecz will be among those offering greetings. Sens. Charles Schumer, D-NY, and Mark Kirk, R-Ill., will be keynote speakers at the dinner gala Friday evening.
The convention will begin Thursday with directors’ meetings and a Mass of Thanksgiving in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 123 Townsend St., site of the Polish American Congress Founding Mass in 1944.
