The motive hasn’t been determined for a stabbing that occurred at a Cheektowaga house earlier this week, according to town police.

A man who lives at 296 George Urban Blvd. called 911 late Monday night, saying he’d been attacked by an intruder, whom he fought off before locking himself in a bathroom. Officers responding to the house, at the intersection of Eastland Parkway, found the victim still locked in the bathroom but there was no sign of the assailant.

The victim, whose name wasn’t released, was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of multiple stab wounds that weren’t considered life-threatening, police said.

Police said the attacker was described only as a man wearing a ski mask and wielding a knife. While the motive remains unclear, police said it doesn’t appear to be robbery.
