MAYVILLE – A 17-year-old motorist with a junior license was charged with driving while intoxicated Saturday in the Chautauqua County Town of Pomfret, sheriff’s deputies reported.

It was about 1:40 a.m. when deputies spotted a vehicle pulled over along Route 20. A 17-year-old girl, from Fredonia, was driving the vehicle and her passenger was an 18-year-old boy from Brocton; their names were withheld by deputies.

The girl was charged with two counts of DWI and with operating after 9 p.m. with a DJ license. The boy was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both were released on tickets to appear in Pomfret Town Court.
