JAMESTOWN – An award-winning Silver Creek photographer whose work is displayed nationally will exhibit this winter with local visitors at the Prendergast Library Art Gallery in Jamestown in a show called “A Portrait – More than just a Smile.”

Niles Dening, who has been called “a poet with a lens,” will greet guests during an opening reception from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, the opening night of the exhibit, and make a 7 p.m. presentation. The exhibit runs through Feb. 7.

Hours to view “A Portrait – More than just a Smile” at the Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry St., Jamestown, will be 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday to Friday as well as from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
