MAYVILLE – A 44-year-old Celoron woman has been arrested and briefly jailed after allegedly bringing her already jailed son a supply of what the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday to have been a supply of illegal drugs.
Laurie A. Schrecengost was arrested about 2 p.m. Thursday as deputies at the County Jail found she was bringing to her already jailed son Kevin W. Schrecengost, 25, two morphine sulfate pills, two Xanax pills and two Oxycodone pills.
Mother and son were both charged with promoting prison contraband in the first-degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Ms. Schrecengost was arraigned Thursday in the Chautauqua Town Court and jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail, which she later posted. Criminal cases against mother and son are proceeding.
