The death of a 29-year-old Cattaraugus Indian Reservation man after he was found Friday morning on a on porch on Buffalo road in Irving is being investigated by both the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. The man had suffered a head injury.

Murray Williams, who lived on Route 438 on the reservation, was found by neighbors on the Buffalo Road porch and they called 911. He was taken first to Lake Shore Community Hospital, then was transferred Saturday to Erie County Medical Center because of the severity of his head injury, He died there.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard asked anyone with information about the case or Murray’s whereabouts during the past week are asked to call Capt. Greg Savage at 858-6670.
