HANOVER – An Irving man was arrested late Saturday on driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI charges after Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped his vehicle for making an unsafe lane change.

David K. Schenk, 43, of Erie Road was stopped at 11 p.m. on Routes 5 and 20 in the Town of Hanover. Deputies said Schenk had a blood alcohol level of more than 0.18 percent, which is more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent.

He was also issued a traffic ticket for the unsafe lane change.
