JAMESTOWN – Four people were arrested early Friday during joint raids by Jamestown and state police in a crackdown on trafficking in heroin and crack cocaine.
Jamestown Police Capt. Robert Samuelson said heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash were seized during the arrests of three people at 14 W. 9th St. about 6:15 a.m. John Carlos Tufino, 21, Wilfredo Hernandez Jr., 31, and Ashlyann Lopez, 20, were charged each with two felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Hernandez is currently on parole for a Jamestown-area robbery. All three remained jailed.
Also at about 6:15 p.m., Samuelson said, Bryan A. Willis, 22, of Dunkirk was arrested at 616 Lafayette St., where a loaded .32-caliber semi-automatic pistol was seized. Willis, who was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, was on parole for a weapons conviction. He is currently being held in Jamestown City Jail.
