MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County Executive Greg Edwards is expected to announce his appointment for interim executive today. Edwards, a Republican, is leaving office effective Friday to accept a position with the Gebbie Foundation.

Republican Vince Horrigan, currently a county legislator from Bemus Point, won the executive race on the Republican line, and he will take office Jan. 1. He will be joined by a Republican majority of 13 legislators. The new Legislature will have 19 members instead of 25.
