A 35-year-old Olean man was ordered to serve a two to four year prison term on his felony welfare fraud conviction as a repeat offender by Cattaraugus County Judge Ronald D. Ploetz this week.

Justin T. Spencer was also ordered to make restitution for the public assistance he received improperly from October 2011 to June 2012, according to Cattaraugus County District Attorney Lori Pettit Rieman who said Spencer bilked taxpayers out of “in excess of $1,000.”

Also this week at County Court in Little Valley:

• Richard S. Stanton, Sr., 57, of Olean, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of attempted sexual abuse in the first-degree for allegedly trying to molest a 10-year-old child in the City of Olean last May 13. He faces sentencing March 24.

• Peter J. Kettler, 37, of Olean, was placed on probation for five years, ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and his driver’s license was revoked for a year on his guilty plea to an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge and a concurrent three years of probation on his plea to aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, all for his arrest in the City of Olean on Nov. 11, 2011 when he had a blood-alcohol reading of 0.18 percent, more than twice the state’s legal limit. The judge also ordered Kettler to use an ignition interlock system in his car when he regains his driving privileges.

• Stephen H. Frank IV, of Delevan, pleaded guilty to a third-degree burglary charge in connection with a Town of Yorkshire break-in last Oct. 1. He faces sentencing March 24.

• Jared B. Lindstrom, 36, of Derrick City, Pa., pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree grand larceny charge in connection with a City of Olean burglary sometime before last Aug. 16. He faces sentencing May 12.

• Luke R. Aldrich, 28, of Hinsdale, waived grand jury action and pleaded guilty to a felony charge of driving while intoxicated for his arrest in the Town of Hinsdale last Sept. 28 when he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent, 2½ times the state’s legal limit. He faces sentencing March 24.

• Bryce E. Caya, 34, of Allegany, waived grand jury action and pleaded guilty to a felony charge of driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed driving and circumventing an ignition interlock system ordered for a prior alcohol-related conviction. Caya had a blood-alcohol reading of 0.16 percent, twice the state’s legal limit, when arrested in the Town of Carrollton last Aug. 25. He faces sentencing March 24.

• Jeremy M. Booker, 32, of Randolph, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of driving while intoxicated for his arrest in the Town of Leon last April 12 when he had a blood-alcohol reading of 0.16 percent while drinking in his vehicle and failing to keep right on the road. He also faces sentencing March 24.

• Devon J. Blanchard, 20, of Olean, pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging him with first- and second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon in a City of Olean assault this past Dec. 4.

• James M. Leon, 55, of Steamburg, pleaded not guilty to his indictment on three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree for an alleged drug deal in the City of Olean last Nov. 15.
