SILVER CREEK – A Chautauqua County grand jury is expected to hear the case involving a Forestville woman allegedly making a threat involving a bomb at the Hanover Town Assessor’s office.
Jeanne Polisoto, 67, was charged on Oct. 1 with making a terroristic threat, harassment in the second degree and obstructing governmental administration in the second degree. Polisoto has been a regular attendee at town, village and county meetings in the area.
Silver Creek Village Justice Richard Saletta had set bail at $15,000 cash or $30,000 property bond as recommended by Chautauqua County District Attorney David Foley.
A request by Polisoto’s attorney James Dimmer to have bail reduced and release Polisoto on her own recognizance was denied in the local court. She was able to post bail shortly after being remanded to Chautauqua County Jail last month.
Her next court appearance date is Jan. 8.
An order of protection was issued requesting that Polisoto stay at least 500 feet away from the town employees that she allegedly threatened during the incident.
