LITTLE VALLEY – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has earned state accreditation, one of the 153 law enforcement agencies – out of 553 statewide – exceeding general expectations of quality.”

Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb singled out praise for Investigator Christa Heckathorn, who has been running the department’s accreditation program since 2008, and Lt. David Shuman.

The Sheriff’s Office received a plaque in Albany on Dec. 5.
