FREEDOM – A 38-year-old Arcade man was charged with a felony count of driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the Cattaraugus County Town of Freedom, State Police reported.
Brandon K. Killian was arrested following a traffic stop at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday along Route 98, troopers said. The DWI charge was upgraded to a felony under “Leandra’s Law,” which relates to driving drunk with a passenger age 15 or younger; troopers said Killian had two children as passengers.
After being taken to the State Police barracks in Machias, Killian was found to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.20 percent, troopers said. Killian will appear in Freedom Town Court.
