Buffalo

The Common Council meets at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers at City Hall, after wrapping up its month-long summer break.

This week:

• The Council will hold a pre-meeting caucus at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Room 1417 at City Hall.

• A Preservation Board meeting begins at 3 p.m. Thursday in Room 901 at City Hall.

• An overview of the Green Code will be presented by the Office of Strategic Planning at 6 p.m. Thursday in the North Buffalo Community Center, 203 Sanders Road.

The Green Code, currently in draft form, is a land use plan that will guide development in the city for the next 20 years. In addition to an explanation of the code’s components, the process for its adoption will also be discussed at Thursday’s meeting.
