The Common Council’s review of Mayor Byron W. Brown’s 2014-15 budget continues this week with workshops with each department head, to be held in Room 1417 at City Hall.
Representatives of the mayor’s office and executive department will discuss the budget with lawmakers at 9 a.m. Monday. The Department of Audit and Control follows at 10:30 a.m., and the Department of Assessment and Taxation is up at 1:30 p.m.
The Law Department has its workshop at 3 p.m., and the Common Council and City Clerk’s office review their budgets at 3:30 p.m.
Workshops resume at 9 a.m. Wednesday with the Department of Public Works. Community Services and Recreation begins at 10:30 a.m.
Lawmakers meet with Economic Development and Permits and Inspections at 1:30 p.m. and the Department of Administration, Finance, Policy and Urban Affairs at 2:30 p.m. Human Resources officials meet with the Council at 3:30 p.m.
The first department up on Thursday is Police at 9 a.m. The Fire Department follows at 10:30 a.m.
In the afternoon, union representatives meet with lawmakers at 1:30 p.m., and the Management Information Systems Department is up at 2:30 p.m.

• The Common Council will hold its pre-meeting caucus at 2 p.m. Monday in Room 1417 at City Hall.
• A regular Council meeting begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers. On the agenda is an application for historic landmark status for three buildings on High Street in the Fruit Belt, and objections by taxi cab drivers to Lyft ride service, which is a new ride-sharing service.
• The Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority, the city’s control board, meets at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Market Arcade complex, 617 Main St., to discuss the city’s 2014-15 budget.
• A Water Board meeting begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Room 502 at City Hall.
