A day of training for landlords, sponsored by the city, will be held March 14 at Belmont Housing Resources of WNY, 1195 Main St.
The program is free, but registration is required. The training will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Topics in the beginner sessions include detecting and preventing drug activity, housing codes and inspections, housing court, proper eviction procedures, tenant screening, fair housing and leases, and lead poisoning prevention.
Landlords who have already attended the beginner sessions can attend the advanced workshop, which will be held the same day.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

• The Common Council will hold its pre-meeting caucus at 2 p.m. Monday in Room 1417 at City Hall.
• The Council will meet in regular session at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers, and will vote on whether to approve a five-year contract with Smith Boys to run the Erie Basin Marina. The Hatch restaurant will be run by a different vendor, under a contract that has not yet been submitted to the Council.
