The Black Panther Party of the late 1960s and early 1970s, and the bombing of MOVE members in Philadelphia in 1985 will be discussed at Burning Books, 420 Connecticut St., on Wednesday, Oct. 23, and Thursday, Oct. 24.

Ramona Africa, the only adult survivor of the MOVE assault, will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Author Waldo E. Martin Jr. will speak about “Black Against Empire: The History and Politics of the Black Panther Party” at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Both events are free, with donations accepted.
