A jury deliberating the fate of two Buffalo teenagers accused of robbing and killing a popular cab driver last March will resume deliberations this morning after failing to reach a verdict Thursday.

State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia sent the 12 jurors home about 4:30 p.m. They had started deliberating at 12:30 p.m. after the judge gave them legal instructions.

Sean Austin and Maurice Howie, both 17, are accused of firing two bullets into the back of Mazen M. Abdallah’s head, then taking his wallet and cellphone and leaving him in a pool of blood in the back seat of his Airport Taxi cab March 6 on an East Side street.

They also are accused of holding up another cabbie Feb. 9, 2013. Austin also is charged with robbing two other taxi drivers and two food deliverymen.
