David Cobb, the Green Party’s presidential candidate in 2004, wants to amend the U.S. Constitution to state unquivocally that inalienable rights belong to human beings and not corporations, and that money is not a form of protected free speech under the First Amendment.

Cobb is part of a national Move to Amend coalition, which is bumping up against the Supreme Court’s historically pro-corprate interpretations. He will speak at 6 p.m. June 8 at Unitarian Universalist Church, 695 Elmwood Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
