The city will collect bagged leaves for recycling beginning Monday and continuing through Nov. 22.
Residents should put leaves in clear recyclable bags or brown bags at the curb on the same day as their garbage pickup. Sticks or branches can be tied together with twine or rope and should be no more than four feet in length.
It’s possible the yard waste will not be picked up on the same day that the garbage is picked up, the city advises.
Residents should not rake leaves into the street. The city warns that this is illegal and punishable by a fine.
Yard waste also can be brought to:
• The golf course parking lot at Cazenovia Park, off Wildwood Place, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday until Dec. 1.
• The Shoshone Park parking lot, at the foot of Beard Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday until Dec. 1.
• The Department of Public Works engineering garage parking lot, 1120 Seneca St., between Babcock and Smith streets, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, all year.
