Child & Family Services, one of the region’s oldest human service agencies, will honor five of its top supporters during a recognition ceremony to be held from 5 to 7 tonight in the Georgian Ballroom at Statler City in downtown Buffalo.

The Buyers family, whose members have supported the agency through their family foundation since 1994, will receive the 2014 Susan T. Siwiec Distinguished Donor Award. Mark K. Walsh of Walsh Duffield Cos., will be recognized for his leadership and contributions as a member of the CFS board of directors since 1990 with the agency’s 2014 John N. Walsh Jr. Board of Appreciation Award.

The agency’s 2014 William B. Hoyt Advocacy Award will go to Lisa Catanese and Shaun Fryling, both certified foster and adoptive parents, whose efforts have given voice to local children in need. Matthew Leboeuf, an educator at the Stanley G. Falk School on Delaware Avenue, will receive the 2014 Stanley G. Falk Memorial Award for Distinguished Educators.

Iana Lal, office manager for CFS’s Cheektowaga counseling office, will be honored with the 2014 Janet B. Wattles Award for her work as a team counselor in the agency’s Sexual Offender Management Progam, a position Lal has served in since 2009.
