Police who attempted to stop a bicyclist riding toward oncoming traffic Friday said they ended up in a foot chase.
Felix Wilson, 22, no address given, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, unlawful possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
Police said they stopped Wilson for questioning just before 7 p.m Friday at East Kehr and Ferry streets, when Wilson took off on foot, throwing a small bag in a backyard of a home in the 500 block of Winslow Avenue.
After apprehending Wilson, police said, he fought with officers, who found a .22 caliber handgun wrapped in white cloth inside the black bag tossed into the yard. Poluice said they also recovered four small bags of marijuana.
