Rev. John Dear, an internationally known voice for peace and author of “The Nonviolent Life,” will speak during the annual fundraising event of the Sister Karen Klimczak Center for Nonviolence at 7 p.m. April 13 at Medaille College in Buffalo.
A reception and book signing will follow the talk.
Dear, who was described by Archbishop Desmond Tutu as “the embodiment of a peacemaker” when Tutu nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2008, has more than 30 years of organizing, promoting and participating in efforts to eliminate war and develop paths to justice, event organizers said.
Center Director Vivian Waltz encouraged all who seek to live in a more peaceful world to attend.
Tickets are $25 and are available by calling 362-9688, online at www.sisterkarencenter.org or at the door.
