The important role that specially trained animals play in the lives of people with disabilities will be highlighted in a People First Forum program from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Museum of disABILITY History, 3826 Main St., Snyder.

Featured at 11 a.m. will be Rich Marino, of Blasdell, an advocacy mentor for People Inc., and his helper dog, Tobey.

The presentation also will include a history of guide dogs, breeds, etiquette, care, training and demonstrations, plus a reading at noon of two children’s books, “Best Dog for the Job” and “Looking Out for Sarah.”

Admission to the People First Forum is free. Regular admission prices apply for tours of the museum.
