The Erie County Board of Elections announces that its office at 134 W. Eagle St. is open for absentee voting for the upcoming Buffalo School Board election from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every working day through May 5.
The office will extend its Tuesday and Thursday hours until 7 p.m. for absentee voting on April 22, 24, 29 and May 1 and will have Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to noon on April 26 and May 3.
The election will be held May 6. Only registered voters enrolled in the City of Buffalo are eligible to cast absentee ballots.
Election commissioners advise suburban residents who want absentee ballots for their school district elections May 20 to contact their school board clerks.
