Three fires in the city’s Black Rock neighborhood kept Buffalo firefighters busy Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called at 10:50 p.m. Saturday to extinguish heavy fire in a vacant 1-½ story home at 30 Guernsey Street, fire officials said. Damage was estimated at $50,000 to the structure and $15,000 to its contents. The home has been marked for emergency demolition.
Five hours later, firefighters were called to 133 Tonawanda Street around 4 a.m. to battle a fire at a 4-story warehouse. Damage was estimated at $5,000 to the building and $5,000 to the contents.
Both fires are under investigation and no injuries were reported.
Also, a kitchen fire around 11:30 a.m. Sunday in a 2-story home at 590 Amherst Street caused $500 damage to the building and $500 damage to its contents.
