Eighty-two votes were cast in last week’s uncontested village elections.
Mayor Allan Kasprzak won another two-year term Tuesday with 69 votes. Incumbent trustees, who also won two-year terms, were: Ernest Scheer, who received 64 votes; Patrick Shea, who received 66; and Randolf West, who received 61. Five write-in votes were counted.
Village elections have been uncontested for the last four years and the total number of votes cast has ranged from about 60 to 125, according to Joyce M. Jezewski, the village clerk and treasurer.
While cold, damp weather can have an impact, she said voter turnout seemed to reflect contentment. “People are happy with what’s going on here,” said Jezewski.
