For the first time, the Roycroft Campus has added gardening to its line up of classes about Gothic lettering, docent training and stained glass making. On Saturday, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Mary Jo Graham, of Oakmoss Education in West Falls, will talk about planting to attract butterflies and deter deer at the Powerhouse on South Grove Street. Class is $10. For more information, check roycroftcampuscorporation.com.

Elbert Hubbard, the Roycroft founder, focused on the outdoors, planting apple trees around the campus and even letting pheasants roam the grounds, said Lynn Kinsella, who handles public relations for the nonprofit. “Gardening is a great fit for us,” she said.
