Newly appointed Aurora Town Board member Charles Snyder hopes to find ways to save money during the year ahead.
“I’m excited,” he said at the end of the board meeting Monday evening. “I think there are places where we could become more efficient.”
A former member of the Planning Board, Snyder applied for the opening created by James Bach’s election to supervisor. He has a business building homes, and last year he helped oversee the $877,000-worth of renovations at the Southside Municipal Building.
Synder will serve the rest of this year, the last in Bach’s old term, and then he plans run for election in the fall.
“I know a lot about construction,” said Snyder. “I know a lot about this building and I think I can help.”
