The women carolers known as the “Village Singers” will make their annual holiday appearance at Vidler’s 5&10 for the 33rd year in a row Tuesday evening.
“We’ll be singing seasonal carols in three and four part harmony,” said Ellen Moomaw, one of the four or five remaining founding members.
The group started in 1979 after the women met at a “Welcome Wagon” luncheon for new residents of East Aurora. When they discovered they had a common background of singing in school glee clubs, they started singing together for the fun of it.
Songs, from “Frosty the Snowman” to an Irving Berlin Christmas Medley, go from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Vidlers, 676 Main St.
“We encourage people to sing along if they want,” said Moomaw.
