A 31-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested by narcotics detectives from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office who stopped her car on Big Tree Road in the Town of Wales about 2:50 p.m. Monday and allegedly found 50 grams of heroin in her vehicle.

Senior Detective Alan Rozansky, head of the unit, said Tammy Capozzi, of Coit Street, is being held on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, which carry a possible 25-year prison term upon conviction. Capozzi is accused of picking up the heroin in Brooklyn and driving it to Erie County. State Supreme Court Justice Timothy J. Drury signed a search warrant for the car that led to the seizure of heroin with a street value of $5,000 to $7,000, Rozansky said.
